Community Manager

The Community Manager is an entry-level position focused on day-to-day digital communications, social media post scheduling, channel moderation, and baseline audience engagement. Working directly under the Communications Lead, this role ensures that Geoshield’s digital channel feeds remain active, responsive, and aligned with brand guidelines. This role relies on asset inputs provided by the internal design team and contracted media personnel. Working directly under the Communications Lead, this role ensures that Geoshield’s digital channel feeds remain active, responsive, and aligned with brand guidelines. This role relies on asset inputs provided by the internal design team and contracted media personnel. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive communicator who excels at consistent execution, customer interaction, and administrative scheduling. Performance Responsibilities Content Scheduling & Publishing: Assist in populating content calendars, scheduling pre-approved posts across all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), and distributing regular email updates. Channel Moderation & Daily Engagement: Monitor all Geoshield digital channels daily. Respond promptly and professionally to routine comments, direct messages, and basic inquiries using established brand tone guidelines. Basic Copywriting: Draft clear, engaging, and on-brand post captions, routine email copy, and basic social announcements. Inbound Query Routing: Identify incoming customer service, sales, or technical support questions and route them immediately to the correct internal departments or to the Communications Lead. Community Monitoring: Constantly monitor brand mentions, industry forums, and general audience sentiment, reporting key trends or issues directly to the Communications Lead. Administrative Support: Assist the Communications Lead with basic administrative tasks regarding affiliate program outreach and event prep needs. Ideal Candidate 0–2 years of experience in social media management, community moderation, or entry-level marketing. Strong copywriting skills with strict attention to spelling, grammar, and brand voice. Highly organized with strong time-management habits and attention to detail. Enthusiastic team player comfortable taking direction, executing detailed schedules daily, and dedicating time to maintain knowledge on industry trends and topics.
