Saw Operator/Drill Press Operator

A manufacturing facility in York, SC is looking for a Saw Operator. They are looking to interview candidates ASAP. This role is fast paced and demanding. This company is growing quickly and willing to train for upward progression. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. This will operate off the 1st shift schedule Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Press Brake Operation: Set up and operate CNC or manual press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets and plates.

• Ironworker Punch Operation: Utilize ironworker machinery to safely punch holes, notch, and shear metal components.

• Shear Work: Operate industrial shear machines to cut metal sheets to precise dimensions.

• Mill & Saw Operation: Set up and run standard milling machines and industrial saws (band saws, cold saws) to cut and face material.

• Material Handling: Safely operate a forklift to load/unload materials, move heavy metal stock throughout the shop, and organize inventory.

• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure alignment with blueprints and quality standards.

• Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine machine maintenance and strictly adhere to all OSHA and company safety protocols.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 10 hours at one time
• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week

Skills

• Press Brake (4 years of experience is preferred)
• Saw Operation (4 years of experience is preferred)
• Forklift Experience (4 years of experience is preferred)
• Iron Punch Operation (3 years of experience is preferred)
• Shear Work (3 years of experience is preferred)
• CNC Machining (3 years of experience is preferred)
