Laser Operator / Programmer
Location: Clover/Gastonia,
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday – Friday , 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: Depending on Experience (DOE)
Job Summary
Laser Operator/Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality precision metal components. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, creating and modifying CNC programs, performing machine setups, and ensuring all parts meet quality specifications.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC laser cutting machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
- Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for efficient production.
- Select proper materials, tooling, and machine settings for each job.
- Perform machine setups and changeovers to support production schedules.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Troubleshoot programming and machine issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment concerns.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Work with production and engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating and programming CNC laser cutting equipment required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with CNC programming software and machine controls.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
