Inventory Accounting Analyst

Job Description This role will perform key finance functions related to North America inventory activity, systems/interface reconciliations, and in transit reconciliations and aging. The Associate will review daily inventory dashboards, verify needed adjustments, and support posting approvals. They will identify recurring transactional issues and collaborate with finance, supply chain, and systems teams to establish permanent solutions. Role Overview The primary focus of the Inventory Analyst is to partner with the business to enable growth and support day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include producing periodic and quarterly reporting, ensuring timely data submission in compliance with corporate deadlines, improving processes, procedures and internal controls, and completing special projects as needed. What are we looking for? Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance related fields Understanding of basic financial processes and controls Knowledge of Excel Process improvement experience would be an advantage Experience working with and reconciling multiple systems What will be your key responsibilities? Activity Reconciliation of Transfers (shipment and receipt) between multiple factory and warehouse locations within North America Review findings from Inventory dashboards; action, resolve or escalate Call out if processes, tools or systems are not used correctly and recommend and implement a corrected solution Analysis of adjustments performed by the Flow team to ensure accuracy Review and analyze aged inventory for proper provision calculation Reconciliation WMS to ERP Subledger to ERP General Ledger Document processes and provide SOPs for Financial approval for current & future systems Encompassed in development, scoping & UAT testing of new systems impacting inventory and related processes Support the physical / cycle count process in compliance with the Internal Controls Excellence framework (ICE) Develop and implement standardization of processes across all sites to improve operational efficiency, including setting up compliance and governance frameworks, coordinating resources to improve delivery timing in financial processes, and detecting risk What can you expect from Mars? The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in a 401(k) plan, and paid time off benefits.
