Desired Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina School Psychologist license, as required by the state
• North Carolina School Psychologist certification (both required for all contractual staff)
• Previous experience in school psychology (strongly preferred)
• Knowledge of evidence-based assessment tools and intervention strategies
• Skilled communicator who can collaborate with students, families, and staff of diverse backgrounds
• Demonstrated cultural competency and ability to adapt to various school settings
• Strong organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation
• Passion for supporting students from multiple backgrounds

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough psychological and educational assessments to identify students' needs
• Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families to support student achievement
• Provide direct counseling services and crisis intervention as needed
• Contribute to Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) teams
• Maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with state and district guidelines
• Offer consultation and professional development to educators regarding student behavior and mental health
• Promote inclusive, supportive school cultures
