INVESTMENT MANAGER, PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM

Investment ManagerOur Global Public Equity (GPE) group is currently seeking an Investment Manager (IM) to lead the ongoing evolution and adaptation of the equity portfolio construction platform, management methodologies, day-to-day implementation of various investment strategies, and drive CalPERS' mission. This role includes but is not limited to:Ensure assigned equity portfolio characteristics are aligned with the benchmark/model, including primary responsibility for specific portfolios and coverage responsibility and trade review for other portfolios.Contribute to evaluating and delivering effective strategies for investment, in terms of theory and implementation. Oversee and analyze corporate actions, including tender offers, initial public offerings/secondary offerings, and voluntary dividend treatment.Drive the GPE Portfolio Construction team's efforts to innovate and improve the technologies, methodologies, and workflows that further the development of an efficient, risk-controlled, and scalable institutional equity management capability.This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.CalPERS does not participate in E-verify for employment authorization purposes. This position will run until filled with cutoff dates for review. The first cutoff date is November 11, 2026 followed by every Wednesday until filled.
