Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Must have an active state RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS required Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Community hospital experience required Description: Start date: 11/2/2026 Contract length: 13 weeks Shift hours: 3x12-hour nights (20:00 - 08:30) Average daily census: 18 patients Total number of beds: 24 Patient ratio: 1 nurse for every 5 patients Patient age range: Adults to geriatrics Common patient diagnoses include: - Transient ischemic attack (TIA) - Respiratory conditions such as COPD - Urology and gynecology issues - Cellulitis and wound care - Palliative care - Infectious processes - Gastrointestinal issues - Early recovery post-surgery - Observation beyond 24 hours - TR bands following cardiac catheterization without intervention The unit is a mixed medical-surgical unit with telemetry. Staffing includes support from interdisciplinary teams such as IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries. Holidays and weekends may be required as scheduled. Floating to other units and facilities within the specialty is required. Candidates must be comfortable with a 5-patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends. Extensions are typically allowed for one contract and one extension, followed by a break before returning to the facility or unit. Travel experience is required.
