Project Controller / Cost Analyst

Job Description

FindTalent is seeking a Project Controller / Cost Analyst to support financial oversight, cost management, and project controls for Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects in the Allentown, PA area. This is a hybrid position , requiring 2–3 days in the office per week , with the remainder remote.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project cost controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis , supporting large-scale utility or infrastructure projects. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on budget and aligned with financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking across multiple T&D projects.
Perform cost variance analysis , earned value management (EVM), and financial reporting.
Support project billing, invoicing, and change order management.
Collaborate with project managers, schedulers, and field teams to ensure accurate cost data and reporting.
Analyze project financial performance and provide insights for cost optimization and risk mitigation.
Maintain and update cost control systems, reports, and dashboards.
Assist with contract review and ensure financial compliance with project requirements.

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field preferred.
3–7 years of experience in project controls with a strong focus on cost management / financial analysis .
Experience supporting utility, transmission & distribution, or infrastructure projects preferred.
Proficiency in Excel , and experience with cost management systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE , or similar.
Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and cost forecasting methodologies.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work 2–3 days per week in the Allentown office and collaborate in a hybrid environment.
