Position Description As a member of the Utility and Energy Operations team, the Low Voltage System Engineer (LVE) will support the Rahway Campus as the low voltage ( We are seeking a self-motivated, independent engineer with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide engineering support for our campus facilities. The successful candidate will pay attention to detail, have a quality mindset, be customer-focused, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Key Responsibilities Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for all low voltage equipment and processes, including emergency electrical generation, ATSs, conductors, switchgear, breakers, MCCs, and electrical testing. Review and develop electrical operating procedures to support operations, projects, and maintenance. Handle various projects related to electrical and utility infrastructure. Address system nonconformances and proactively address system deficiencies. Work cross-functionally, coordinating with different departments and external partners. Collaborate with maintenance teams on preventative and corrective tasks. Establish systems and processes to measure and drive performance and improvement. Ensure compliance with company, municipal, state, federal, and industrial requirements. Investigate complex problems and develop innovative solutions. Develop and implement initiatives to support the corporate sustainability vision. Support the medium voltage electrical team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related field 5+ years of experience in the design, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems. Knowledge of facilities, utilities, or power plant operations Technical understanding of emergency generators, electrical generation, UPS, ATS, SCADA, and control systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Working knowledge of EIII and NFPA standards. Experience with Root Cause Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, or reliability engineering. Preferred Experience And Skills Knowledge of engineering applications such as AutoCAD, SKM, and ETAP.
