House Supervisor (RN)

Encino Hospital Medical Center is a 150-bed state-of-the-art hospital located in Encino, California. Its multi-disciplinary staff consists of 330 physicians and 520 professional support staff. The hospital serves a diverse population and provides inpatient and outpatient services, focused on innovative and integrated healthcare. Responsibilities The House Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who assumes administrative responsibility for the management of all department service functions on the shift. Makes frequent rounds throughout the facility to monitor the delivery of care, oversee the quality of services, and direct patient care activities as needed. Directly supervises, supports, and communicates with all staff house-wide. In the absence of the Hospital Administrative staff, the administrative scope and responsibility extends to all services within the hospital. Ensures efficient operations and patient flow throughout the hospital. Performs direct patient care, as needed, within the scope of practice and competence. Ensures all temporary agency personnel are deployed and oriented in compliance with hospital policy. Assists medical staff with scheduling after-hours procedures and calling in stand-by staff members. Enhances the patient/family experience through supportive interactions and explanations of hospital policies as needed. Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. One (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred. Minimum of three (3) years acute care nursing experience. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $48.92 to $48.92. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
