Travel Nurse RN – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Shakopee, MN Agency: Fusion Medical Staffing Pay: $1,954 to $2,078 per week Shift: Nights – 3 days × 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 7/13/2026 About the Position We are seeking a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Shakopee, Minnesota. Summary of Responsibilities Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to subtle changes in condition. Administer complex medications and treatments in accordance with approved critical care nursing techniques. Operate and manage advanced life‑support equipment. Ensure patient safety and comfort in high‑acuity ICU environments. Record significant conditions, reactions, and interventions; notify providers of changes in patient status. Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines, central venous pressure, and pulmonary artery catheters. Accurately document all assessments and interventions in the medical record in a timely manner. Provide education to patients and families about ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations. Communicate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care. Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies through ongoing education and training. Adhere to strict infection control protocols to protect immunocompromised patients. Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ICU patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned within scope. Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as an ICU RN. Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications. Preferred Qualifications Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification. TNCC, NIHSS certification. Other certifications or licenses may be required. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in written and spoken English. Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions; proficiency in PC skills. Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment up to 50–100 lbs, push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personnel. Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and procedural assistance.
