WAGI Physician Assistant (PA-C)

Washington Gastroenterology is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our Federal Way and Covington Clinic Team. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for providing internal care for delegated medical aspects of care with collaborating physician(s).

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance, screening and health education to patients to promote and maintain health within gastroenterology practice
• Perform comprehensive health assessment including obtaining a complete and accurate health history; performing a complete and accurate physical examination
• Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients
• Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits; maintains and reviews patient records, charts and other pertinent information; posts tests and examination results; triages patient telephone calls and provides consultation
• Develops and implements health promotion, illness/injury prevention and therapeutic plans congruent with the client's diagnosis, health care problem or need

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Nursing
• Current Washington State Licensure as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active involvement with professional organizations (ANA, WSNA, AANP, SGNA)
• Current AANP or ANCC certification or AAPA
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification

Physical Activities and Requirements

• Occasional travel may be required to other local locations on an as-needed basis to back-fill for vacations, etc.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the day, up to 10 hours per day
• Prolonged periods of sitting and performing administrative duties including the use of computers
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and reach
• Able to lift and carry supplies and equipment as needed (up to 15 pounds)
