Food + Beverage Manager
Reports to the Director of Food + Beverage Operations: position is exempt
The Food + Beverage Manager helps lead service in the Tullibee Bar + Lounge and Rooftop Bar. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supporting daily operations, developing associates and maintaining an exceptional guest experience.
The position requires someone who can think strategically while remaining involved in daily execution. If you prefer only to "see the forest" and not "plant the trees," this is not the role for you. The ability to act as a soldier is as important as being a general.
You will spend much of the day engaging with associates and guests before, during and after service. You will also play an active role in curating the cocktail menu and creating a distinctive beverage experience.
Passion for the People, Place, and Culture of our community, love of restaurants, and guest service are also required. Minimum of (3) three years experience in a leadership role within Food + Beverage. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and other applicable computer systems. Expert-level knowledge, or ability to obtain, in reservations systems (Resy) as well as POS systems (Toast). Knowledge, or ability to obtain, in reporting and inventory management tools (Craftable). Thorough understanding of excellent service, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting. Ability to obtain and/or maintain Alcohol Awareness certification (TiPS) and Food Handlers Certification (ServSafe). Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel, which may include some days, nights, weekends and holidays. Fluency in English both verbally and written. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time; push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work occasionally in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10* F) and kitchens (+110* F), possibly for one hour or more.
