Front of House Manager

About Hook Hall 

Hook Hall is one of DC's most iconic entertainment and event venues. A sprawling, high-energy space where great food, drinks, live events, and unforgettable experiences come together. We're looking for a Floor-First Front of House Manager who leads from the front, not the back office.  

The Role 

As Front of House Manager at Hook Hall, you'll own the floor keeping service tight, guests happy, and the team moving at full speed. You'll be the presence your team looks to when things get busy, and the standard-setter for everything that happens in the dining room, bar, and event spaces.

What You'll Do 

• Own the floor during service, actively managing the guest experience from open to close  

• Lead and coach FOH staff in real time, providing on-the-spot feedback and direction  

• Ensure tables are turned efficiently, guests are greeted promptly, and service standards are upheld throughout every shift  

• Monitor floor coverage and adjust staffing positioning as volume demands  

• Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally, turning problems into positive experiences  

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards across all FOH areas  

• Partner with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service flow  

• Support event execution and high-volume service periods  

• Assist with staff training, onboarding, and development on the floor  

• Open and close the venue and manage shift reporting  

Who You Are 

• 1-2 years of FOH management or floor supervisor experience in a high-volume hospitality setting  

• A natural floor presence; you lead by example and your team knows it  

• Strong communicator who stays calm and clear-headed under pressure  

• Passionate about guest experience and operational excellence  

• Highly organized with sharp attention to detail during peak service  

• Available nights, weekends, and events when it counts most
