Computer Support Technician
Duration: 12 Months
Shift: 1st shift, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM; minimal OT

Role Summary:
Seeking a Computer Support Technician to provide hands-on IT support in a manufacturing, warehouse, and lab environment. Role is approximately 50% desk / 50% shop floor and includes occasional travel to Altoona and Ames locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Deploy, configure, and support PCs, printers, scanners, and network equipment .
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Manage IT support requests through ServiceNow .
Support IT projects, upgrades, rollouts, printer maintenance, and asset disposal.
Maintain IT asset inventory and equipment records .
Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and user experience.

Required Qualifications:

1+ year IT/support experience preferred ; recent graduates considered.
Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and basic cybersecurity .
Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office/business applications .
IT-related degree or equivalent experience; HS diploma required .
Familiarity with AI tools (Copilot/ChatGPT) is a plus.
PowerShell, Python, VBA, or other scripting/automation experience is a plus.

Job Requirements:

Able to work 50% on shop floor and 50% desk.
Able to lift up to 25 lbs .
Occasional driving to Altoona/Ames locations.
Metatarsal safety footwear required on first day.
