Accountant and Advisory Senior Lead

Accountant and Advisory Lead Senior Client Management and Accounting Responsibilities Managing a client portfolio from bookkeeping to year‑end closing, including bank reconciliation, closing journal entries, P&L analysis, and supporting schedules. Creating timely and accurate accounting reports on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. Detecting inaccuracies and investigating account discrepancies. Proposing recommendations to optimize accounting systems and procedures. Managing intercompany reconciliation. Participating in the consolidation process. Leadership and Team Development Responsibilities Supervising team members in coordinating daily and weekly tasks and activities. Ensuring team adherence to processes and procedures. Focusing on operational efficiency and effective tax/accounting execution within the team. Training and developing team members to enhance their skills and performance. Performance Management and Team Collaboration Recommending personnel management decisions for team members (e.g., promotions, performance evaluations). Lead or Actively Participate in Structured Team Discussions Strategic Initiatives and Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for automation and improved efficiency in client processes. Leading small projects within the team to implement new tools and methodologies. Acting as a key liaison between the team and management to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Requirements Completion of at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in accounting within an accounting firm. Strong technical accounting skills, with expertise in bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and P&L analysis. Proficiency in financial reporting, with the ability to produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Sharp analytical skills to detect inaccuracies and investigate account discrepancies. Problem‑solving abilities to propose recommendations for optimizing accounting systems and procedures. Knowledge of intercompany reconciliation and managing transactions between entities. Experience in financial consolidation processes for accurate statement preparation. Leadership and mentoring capabilities to support and guide junior team members. Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance and precision in all tasks. Proficiency in multitasking while maintaining high efficiency without compromising quality. Excellent time management skills to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills to effectively articulate complex accounting matters.
