Make an impact helping high school students reach their mobility goals as a contract Physical Therapist in the Oak Lawn, IL area. In this rewarding school-based position, you’ll work between 20-30 hours per week supporting a focused caseload of 15-20 high school students. Use your clinical expertise to deliver therapy and develop individualized care strategies that set students up for long-term success both in and outside the classroom.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Illinois (or eligible)
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create and implement IEP goals and therapy interventions
• Commitment to empowering student independence and participation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine students' needs and document progress
• Provide direct therapy services within the school environment
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor IEPs
• Maintain clear and timely records according to district and federal guidelines
• Offer training and support to staff to ensure effective carryover of therapeutic strategies
• Adjust treatment plans as necessary to maximize potential and participation
