This is a Senior Accountant opportunity at a PE-backed, global distribution company with operations spanning North America, Europe, and Asia — a genuinely complex, multi-entity, multi-currency environment that will challenge and sharpen your. The position is open due to increased workload and internal team evolution, and the hiring manager is looking for an extra set of capable hands — specifically someone with foreign currency experience, a sharp analytical mind, and the self-starting instincts to tackle work with many moving parts without waiting to be directed. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis across assigned areas of responsibility.
\n
• Prepare multi-currency bank reconciliations — a core and high-priority function for this team.
\n
• Prepare and post month-end journal entries including accruals, amortization, and depreciation.
\n
• Complete timely and accurate financial statement closes for all assigned areas.
\n
• Conduct variance analysis and prepare financial reports for management, including commentary explaining key variances, underlying drivers, and business implications.
\n
• Partner with finance and operational teams to resolve accounting issues and respond to questions across a globally distributed organization.
\n
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for annual consolidated and international audits, including analysis and responses to auditor inquiries.
\n
• Manage recurring accounting deliverables alongside urgent requests and special projects, communicating conflicts or potential delays proactively and early.

Requirements

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
\n
• 5+ years of accounting experience at the senior level; straight industry or a public/industry mix both considered.
\n
• Experience with foreign currency transactions and multi-currency reconciliations — this is a key priority and non-negotiable for the role.
\n
• Experience in a multi-entity environment or organization with international operations.
\n
• Strong Excel skills essential — comfortable handling large, complex data sets.
\n
• Organized, detail-oriented, sharp, and self-starting — you identify what needs doing and do it without being asked.
\n
• Comfortable with ambiguity and complexity — this is a fast-moving environment with many moving parts and the right person finds that energizing.
\n
• Eastern or Central time zone location preferred; fully remote candidates outside of Florida are welcome.
\n

• Familiarity with ERP systems in a global, multi-entity distribution environment.

• Experience with business intelligence or data visualization tools.

• Exposure to AI tools in an accounting or finance workflow context.
