About the Position

Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 1:1 patient ratio; 36-hour orientation provided; float requirements to Antepartum and other units as needed within the organization

Highlights:

• High-volume Level 4 Labor & Delivery unit with approximately 450 deliveries per month
• Work with diverse patient populations including neonates, adolescents, and adults
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Up to two pre-approved time off requests available
• Travel assignment with competitive compensation package

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (required)
• NCC C-EFM certification acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced
• Epic charting system experience required
• IV start proficiency required
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Previous travel experience strongly preferred
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Must provide 2 professional references, with at least 1 from a manager/director or formal supervisor
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in antepartum and postpartum care
• High-risk antepartum experience preferred
• Cesarean section circulation and recovery
• Epidural anesthesia management
• Fetal monitoring (external and internal)
• Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Administration of Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate therapy
• Management of pregnancy-induced hypertension and postpartum hemorrhage
• IV therapy and central line maintenance
• Triage of obstetrical patients
