• The Medical Malpractice Litigation Paralegal is a full-time, fast-pace, on-site role based in Hendersonville, TN.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing and maintaining case files, drafting pleadings, discovery requests, correspondence, and summaries of medical records.
• The paralegal will assist in obtaining, reviewing, and analyzing medical records and expert reports, preparing exhibits and trial notebooks, and coordinating depositions, hearings, and trial calendars.
• The role also involves communicating with clients, healthcare providers, experts, and court personnel, as well as managing deadlines and supporting attorneys through all phases of pre-trial and trial litigation.
• The position requires consistent on-site collaboration with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient, accurate case management.

• Strong litigation support skills, including case file organization, drafting legal documents, and managing discovery and trial preparation.
• Proficiency in reviewing, summarizing, and organizing medical records, as well as working with medical terminology and expert reports.
• Advanced organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in deadline tracking and document handling.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Comfort with legal practice management software, document management systems, and standard office technologies (Word, Excel, PDF tools).
• 4 years of prior experience as a litigation paralegal required, preferably in medical malpractice or personal injury, is strongly preferred.
• Paralegal certificate or degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field required.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site with attorneys and staff, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment in sensitive matters.
