MDS Director Full Time Join the Sandgate Gardens team of passionate professionals who are boldly redefining the world of healthcare! We are seeking an experienced and compassionate MDS Director to join our team at Sandgate Gardens Rehab and Nursing Center in Fort Pierce, Florida. As a key member of our healthcare team, the MDS Director will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients while adhering to regulatory requirements. About the Role: As the Director of MDS, you will be responsible for administering patient assessments and overseeing the assessment process, setting assessment schedules, and ensuring that assessments are done accurately and in a timely manner. You will coordinate the care plan according to regulatory requirements and ensure that resources are made available to patients and that patient care is delivered effectively and to a satisfactory standard. Additionally, you will create the schedule for all Medicare and Medicaid patients, start Medicare coverage for newly qualified patients or send out denial letters, and stay up-to-date on changes in Medicare coverage and help determine the necessary documents for reimbursement. Requirements: Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing Experience: Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in an LTC setting; prior experience as an MDS Director or Coordinator is preferred Skills: Proficiency in MDS 3.0 Demonstrating knowledge of state and federal regulations Registered Nurse with current, active license in the state employed Compensation: $40 - $46 HOURLY What We Offer: Join our dynamic team at Sandgate Gardens Rehab and Nursing Center and take advantage of the opportunity to work with a passionate and dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
