HR Business Partner | US & Canada

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support employees across the United States and Canada within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
This is a hands-on, employee-facing role focused on executing core People Operations processes across the employee lifecycle. The position includes ownership and coordination of onboarding, employee transitions, offboarding, employee support, benefits administration, reporting, employee communications, and operational process improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines strong operational execution with excellent employee support skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role requires someone who enjoys staying close to day-to-day HR operations while helping improve processes, strengthen employee experience, and support organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities Employee Support & HR Partnership- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to HR programs, policies, benefits, employee resources, and People processes.
- Provide timely support and guidance to employees and managers throughout key employee lifecycle moments.
- Partner with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a positive and consistent employee experience.
- Escalate sensitive employee matters appropriately while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Coordinate and support onboarding, internal transitions, employee changes, and offboarding activities.
- Maintain employee records, documentation, and process compliance throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Support workforce changes, organizational movements, and employee transition activities.
- Partner with Payroll, Talent Acquisition, IT, Legal, and other internal teams to ensure smooth execution of employee-related processes.
- Track and maintain lifecycle activities, documentation, and operational records.
- Coordinate onboarding programs and new hire experiences.
- Facilitate recurring onboarding presentations, orientation sessions, and HR information sessions for groups of new employees.
- Manage onboarding communications, resources, and follow-up activities.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and internal communications.
- Coordinate offboarding workflows, exit documentation, and transition activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve employee experience across onboarding, transitions, and offboarding processes.
- Support benefits administration, employee inquiries, audits, vendor coordination, and issue resolution.
- Assist with employee data updates and HR system maintenance.
- Participate in operational reviews, compliance activities, audits, and quality-control processes.
- Maintain HR trackers, documentation, and operational records with a high degree of accuracy.
- Support resolution of employee and operational issues requiring cross-functional coordination.
- Support workforce reporting, headcount reporting, and People metrics.
- Maintain reporting files, dashboards, trackers, and employee data records.
- Run and analyze HR and payroll-related reports.
- Monitor data accuracy and identify inconsistencies requiring correction.
- Use data and operational observations to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Evaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and employee experience.
- Develop practical solutions to recurring operational challenges and process bottlenecks.
- Support the creation and refinement of documentation, templates, communications, and operating procedures.
- Help strengthen operational discipline through improved tracking, follow-up, and process visibility.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations that enhance service delivery, scalability, and overall People team effectiveness.
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience in HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, People Operations, Employee Experience, or related roles.
- Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, employee transitions, offboarding, documentation, and HR operations.
- Experience providing direct employee support and guidance on HR policies, benefits, programs, and employee resources.
- Experience supporting audits, compliance activities, reporting, employee records, and data management.
- Experience with benefits administration, HR systems, and payroll-related processes.
- Experience within technology, consulting, professional services, or similarly fast-paced environments preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-state U.S. employee populations preferred.
- Experience supporting employee populations across both the United States and Canada is highly preferred. Exposure to Canadian HR practices, employee support, mobility processes, leave administration, or cross-border HR operations is strongly valued.
- Experience with HR systems such as ADP, SuccessFactors, Workday, UKG, Fidelity, or similar platforms preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
- Demonstrated accountability, including the ability to identify mistakes, address issues proactively, and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Practical problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

Work Model: Hybrid (2–3 days per week onsite)
Salary Range: $100,000–$110,000
