Job Description Title: Supply Chain Quality Manager Employer: Airbus Americas, Inc. Location: Herndon, VA Manage the development of a portfolio of suppliers and vendors, ensuring performance, capacity, de‑risking, and development needs are secured to meet evolving business requirements. Direct maturity and robustness of suppliers’ manufacturing and supply chain processes to avoid supply failures, driving continuous improvement of supply‑chain‑related performance for delivered products. Review supplier capacity and capability to secure effective ramp‑up periods aligning with Airbus industrial objectives, major planning changes, and ramp‑down periods. Monitor and analyze supply‑chain performance using key performance indicators and supervise surveillance of suppliers through audits, assessments, recovery plans, missions, CID (Corrective, Improvement, Development), and industrial risk management with stakeholders. Manage major industrial risks, oversee major changes including industrial transfers, and support design changes from an industrial perspective. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or 2 additional years of equivalent experience in a procurement‑operations environment in the commercial aviation industry). Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement operations within the commercial aviation industry, including supplier monitoring and auditing, supply‑chain and quality processes, lean manufacturing, sheet‑metal manufacturing, machining, and aerospace assembly. Experience in project management involving multi‑functional industrialization teams from tendering to serial production. Up to 50% domestic and international travel required for supplier meetings, audits, and assessments on site. Full‑time telework permitted.
