CNC Operator

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator who can expertly set up and interpret blueprints, while understanding the fundamentals of G&M codes.

Responsibilities

• Set up parts and machinery for operation.
• Interpret and read blueprints accurately.
• Operate lathe and mill machines effectively.
• Utilize calipers, micrometres, and other measurement tools.
• Manage and operate CNC machines including Fanuc, Haas, and others.
• Handle machine shop equipment such as horizontal and vertical boring machines.
• Operate 4-axis and 5-axis machines with precision.
• Work with materials such as grey iron, steel, and carbon steel.
• Perform tasks involving overhead cranes and lathe machines.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in CNC operating and machine setup.
• Strong understanding of G&M codes.
• Blueprint reading expertise.
• Experience with lathe and milling machines.
• Ability to use measurement tools like calipers and micrometres.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Mori Seiki machines is advantageous.
• Horizontal and vertical machining experience.
• Willingness to learn and grow into a more advanced machinist role.

Work Environment

The work environment is a climate-controlled manufacturing setting. The position is for the 2nd shift, running from 3 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, with potential for Friday shifts as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hixson, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
