Accounting Clerk

After over four decades in the trucking industry, Turbo Terminal Tractors is now one of the nation’s largest operations for the leasing of new and used terminal tractors of a variety of quality name brands. We started over 40 years ago as a truck repair shop. This history in the service side of the business has been important in establishing our ability to maintain maximum uptime for our leasing customers with terminal tractor fleets. About the role The Accounting Clerk supports the day-to-day operations of the Accounting department by performing routine data entry, recordkeeping, and reconciliation tasks. This role assists with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, maintains accurate financial records, and provides general administrative support to the accounting team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets in a fast-paced environment. What you'll do Accounts Payable & Receivable Support Post payments received and apply cash receipts to customer accounts receivable balances in Karmak Assist with filing, matching invoices, processing Parts invoices in Karmak Assist with preparing and emailing customer invoices and statements Assisting in managing accounts receivable inbox and other various accounts receivable tasks Upload customer invoices into customer portals Assist with weekly AP check run printing, scanning, and mailing checks Assist with scanning documents and sending to appropriate departments Follow up on outstanding invoices and assist with basic collection calls as needed Assist in resolving billing and payment discrepancies with vendors and customers Perform other AR and AP duties as assigned General Accounting & Recordkeeping Maintain organized and accurate financial files, records, and documentation Prepare and update spreadsheets to track expenses, payments, and cash account balances Support the preparation of routine financial and management reports Assist with audits by gathering documentation and supporting schedules as requested Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 2-3 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or related clerical role Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, VLOOKUP, Xlookup, pivot tables) and the Microsoft Office Suite Basic understanding of general accounting principles and practices Ability to learn and effectively use accounting/ERP software Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team Preferred Associate's degree in accounting, business, or a related field Prior experience with an accounting/ERP software system #J-18808-Ljbffr MC Turbo Acquistion LLC
