Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms on clients’ lives.

• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans that align with each client’s goals and preferences using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Monitor client progress over time, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and documenting all findings in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, ensuring they are informed about treatment options and self-care strategies.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and comprehensive care.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance treatment strategy effectiveness.

• Actively participate in client advocacy efforts, working to reduce the stigma associated with mental health and ensuring that client needs are met.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will primarily support clients coping with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. This role requires sensitivity and competency in addressing the needs of a varied demographic, including homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic violence. Our focus is not only on treating the disorder but also on fostering a sense of hope and stability in each client’s life.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Compensation and Benefits\n
