Duties

Help

Determine type of substance, strength, dosage, and quantity to be dispensed.

Receive, review, prepare, and fill physician orders for prescriptions.

Enter prescriptions into outpatient computer system.

Obtain the pharmaceutical, prepare package labels, and set up for review.

Sign for controlled substances as they are received.

Take steps to rectify discrepancies as they are found.

Maintain and cleaning of assigned medication dispensing stations.

Perform sterile drug compounding in accordance with USP 797

Perform hazardous drug compounding in accordance with USP 797 and USP 800

Perform non-sterile drug compounding in accordance with USP 795
