Accounts Receivable Specialist

Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist Reports to: Accounts Receivable & Credit Manager FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt Department: General Office Work Location: Pineville, NC Summary: Responsible for managing and processing incoming payments, ensuring accurate financial records, and maintaining positive customer relationships. This role involves invoicing, payment collection, reconciling accounts, and resolving billing discrepancies. Job Duties: Generate and distribute invoices to customers in a timely manner. Monitor accounts receivable ledger to ensure payments are collected on schedule. Process incoming payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and credit card transactions. Reconcile customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies or payment issues. Communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts. Work with internal teams to resolve billing disputes and adjustments. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in accounting systems. Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports for management. Assist with month-end closing and financial audits as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred). 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related finance role.
