Step into a rewarding opportunity where your expertise in speech-language pathology positively impacts young learners. This contract position offers a full-time schedule within a supportive elementary school environment, serving students in grades TK-5. Starting August 5, 2024, and running through June 12, 2025, you will play a key role in fostering communication skills for a diverse caseload of 46 students, including those with Speech IEPs and MS SDC students requiring speech services.
Your day begins at 7:30 AM and wraps up at 2:15 PM, allowing your evenings to remain free. The school is open to both experienced clinicians and clinical fellows who are eager to grow alongside a dedicated educational team. Additionally, SLPA candidates will be considered if the SLP role remains unfilled, providing flexibility for a variety of skilled professionals.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active SLP license/credential (CCC or CFY), or eligibility as an SLPA
- Prior work in educational settings preferred
- Experience working with elementary-aged children (TK-5)
- Strong assessment, reporting, and IEP participation skills
- Bilingual abilities or a history of effectively supporting diverse populations stand out
- Excellent organization and communication
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to eligible students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and write clear, actionable reports
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with staff and families
- Track student progress and maintain documentation in line with school standards
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student growth
