Job Summary
Burn Proof Gear is a Miami-based tactical accessories manufacturer looking for a detail-oriented Accounting / Admin Assistant to support our day-to-day
accounting operations and serve as a central point of contact between departments.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable & Sales Transactions
- Create and track customer invoices in QuickBooks Online; estimates as needed
- Review and verify sales transactions across multiple channels
- Organize, verify, and report on AR aging
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between channel data and QBO records|
- Accounts Payable & Purchasing
- Coordinate and verify purchase transactions against external software and staff
- Process vendor payments and maintain AP aging
- Review and code employee expense reports
- General Accounting
- Support monthly reconciliations and month-end close
- Support journal entry preparation and posting
- Coordinate with external CPA on tax prep and year-end close
- Assist with additional tasks as the company grows
- Office & Administrative Support
- Serve as a point of contact between departments, including warehouse and operations
- Handle general office administration and day-to-day operational support
- Assist with vendor and staff communications as needed
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or office administration experience
- 1-2 years of recent QuickBooks Online experience required
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new tools quickly
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems (e.g. Katana) a plus
- Experience in a product-based or e-commerce business a plus
