Schedule: Rotating day and night shifts

Position Overview

Genesis Industrial Staffing is seeking dependable Industrial Yard Equipment Operator for positions at an industrial scrap yard in North Mobile County. Employees will assist with moving, loading, and processing scrap material throughout the yard.

This position involves using an excavator to move material from the yard and load it onto trucks. Candidates with previous excavator experience are encouraged to apply; training may be available for qualified candidates with strong industrial experience.

Responsibilities

• Move and organize scrap material throughout the yard
• Operate an excavator to pick up and load material onto trucks
• Assist with loading, unloading, sorting, and processing materials
• Use a hand-held burner torch to cut scrap plate and other materials, when qualified
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns
• Follow all site safety procedures and supervisor instructions
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform other material-handling duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Current, valid driver’s license
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts
• Previous industrial experience is preferred
• Excavator or other heavy-equipment experience is strongly preferred
• Hand-held burner torch or scrap-cutting experience is a plus
• Willingness and ability to train on excavator operation
• Ability to work safely in an outdoor industrial environment
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Schedule

This position follows a rotating shift schedule:

• Two weeks on night shift
• Two weeks on day shift
• Rotation continues throughout employment

Compensation

$20–$25 per hour , depending on industrial, excavator, torch-cutting, and related experience.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Must pass a background check
• Must pass a drug screen
