Description

• Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions, concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to craft cohesive care plans.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to facilitate progress outside of the clinical environment.
• Assist with occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout each treatment journey.
• Document all patient-related information meticulously and in a timely manner, adhering to all state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay informed about advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
