Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients throughout pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Custom-tailor treatment strategies to achieve both short- and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy that encompasses aspects of language, fluency, voice, and swallowing interventions.
• Engage collaboratively with fellow physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and family members to ensure a shared healthcare approach.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to promote progress extending beyond clinical environments.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care during the patient's journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Enhance your expertise by staying updated with the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Mention of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology obtained from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
