Performance Management Consultant at Department of Rehabilitation Sacramento County, CA

Job Description and Duties This position is located in the city of Sacramento. It is a 12‑month limited term position that may be extended or become permanent. Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the Performance Management Consultant is responsible for performing varied, complex technical employee performance management and progressive discipline work, and for conducting independent consultation and training to all levels of management on performance management processes, progressive discipline, and related HR procedures. The analyst reviews, edits, and drafts a variety of memorandums, notices, and other documents related to performance issues. Incumbents must live and work in California. Working Conditions The majority of the work will take place in office settings, offsite community events, partner locations, and/or approved alternate work locations. The incumbent must work in an office setting for up to 40 hours per week, remaining at a workstation for extended periods while using a personal computer and other office equipment. The job requires strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with consumers, the public, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
