Field Design Engineer (Wireless, BT & SATCOM) for a Global Consumer Device company in Cupertino, CA Responsibilities Test Cellular, Wireless, BT and/or SATCOM technologies in the field, perform log analysis and debug issues. Travel up to 30 minutes from the lab to test cellular technologies of next‑gen devices. Work up to 4 days in the field, 1 day in the lab per work week. Transport, driver, and security will be provided. During peak season (Summer/Fall) hike in parks to test cellular technologies (once every 2 months). Communicate technical issues and apply strong fundamental and judgment skills. Maintain excellent verbal and written communication, be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working independently. Requirements 1-4 years of experience with end‑to‑end testing of Cellular, Wireless, Satellite, or Bluetooth technologies, including test plan preparation, field testing, log analysis, and debugging issues. Field and/or lab testing experience with Cellular, SATCOM, Wi‑Fi, or Bluetooth. Ability to walk in city limits and hike outdoors while performing field testing. Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills; must be detail oriented. Option for candidates with only lab experience wishing to do field testing.
