Overview A reputable homecare agency in Manhattan is looking to hire a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in homecare to provide exceptional care to patients in their homes. This full‑time role offers a competitive salary ranging from $140,000 to $150,000, along with full benefits—including a 401(k), healthcare, and vacation. Responsibilities Ensure the ongoing satisfaction, quality, and safety of existing clients through regular contact and a minimum of 22 quality‑assurance home visits per week. Exercise independent judgment regarding quality assurance, clinical management, risk management, and caregiver training. Understand New York State RN regulations and responsibilities for nursing delegation to unlicensed caregivers. Perform initial nursing assessments and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date Plans of Care (updated at least every six months or whenever the client’s condition changes). Maintain medication lists, pre‑pour medications, manage medication administration, and keep updated medication‑administration records. Conduct quality‑assurance visits with clients at least every 3–4 months; conduct additional visits for sick clients or those receiving medication administration or delegated services. Conduct supervisory visits of caregivers every 3–4 months to ensure proper service delivery. Collect service records, keep client journals stocked with documentation forms, and maintain documentation of all phone and in‑person contact with clients, representatives, and caregivers. Provide oversight and instruction for initial and ongoing in‑office and field training for caregivers, including specialized‑services training for high‑needs clients, with return demonstrations and documentation kept in caregivers’ employment files. Make staffing recommendations as required by the HR Staffing Coordinator. Report incidents and accidents observed during visits to the office. Prepare client discharge paperwork per New York State Department of Health requirements. Serve as an expert adviser on medication and delegated specialized services training. Gain mastery of systems such as WellSky (formerly ClearCare), Google Drive, Google Spreadsheets, Thinkific, EmailMeForm, WhatsApp, and phone messaging. Attend quarterly Quality Improvement meetings. Maintain a current, non‑restricted Registered Nursing license in the State of New York. Adhere to the operations handbook and assist with medication and comprehensive clinical services as outlined in NYS Administrative Rules. Supervise and delegate nursing tasks in compliance with NYS regulations. Qualifications Minimum 7 to 10 years of nursing experience, including delegation and management of employees. Current, non‑restricted RN license in the State of New York. Willingness to commute using New York City public transportation and to perform a minimum of four client visits per day (22 per week). Ability to work 7 days a week. Strong clinical skills, compassion, and excellent communication abilities. Familiarity with New York State delegation regulations and regulations regarding nursing tasks. Benefits Base salary of $140,000–$150,000 per year.
