Robert Half Madison is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead all finance and accounting operations for a construction company on the east side. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for both transactional accounting and strategic financial oversight . Preferred experience will include strong construction accounting experience, including a deep understanding of AIA billing. Responsibilities

• Oversee the full finance and accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Manage and review AIA billing processes, ensuring accurate application billing, lien waiver support, and timely customer invoicing.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and provide leadership with meaningful analysis on company performance, job profitability, and cash flow.
• Partner with project managers and operational leaders to monitor project costs, budgets, work-in-progress schedules, and contract performance.
• Maintain internal controls, ensure compliance with accounting policies, and support external audits, tax preparation, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Lead cash management, forecasting, and budgeting efforts while identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and support business growth.
