Controller

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience in private equity-backed or SaaS organizations. The successful candidate will bring a blend of technical accounting expertise, operational efficiency, and a forward-thinking approach to contribute to the company's continued success. Reports To: Chief Financial Officer Employment Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $150,000 – $180,000 annually plus bonus and equity, depending on experience and qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including operating accounting roles in a company. Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment preferred. Demonstrated success at building an efficient accounting function in a growth company. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and Excel. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive an efficient and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Identify and implement ways to accelerate close calendars, improve automation, and streamline processes. Consult with other team members on structuring complex transactions to ensure proper accounting and reporting treatment. Perform all accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions. Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies. Manage audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and reporting obligations. Partner with the CFO on strategic initiatives, including M&A integration, systems implementation, and financial modeling. Drive process improvements and automation across the finance function. Collaborate cross-functionally to support business operations and decision-making.
