About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Operating Room Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12.0 Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two (2) years of experience required License: RN License (New York only) Certifications: - BLS Certification (American Heart Association only) - ACLS Certification (American Heart Association only) Must-Have: - Ability to independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases - Operating room experience in a level 1 trauma setting is highly desired - Ability to circulate in a cardiac operating room environment Description: The Cardiac Operating Room cares for a wide variety of patients. This includes CABGs, TAVIs, and heart failure cases among others. The staff utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to care for patients of all ages. The role requires independent operation in scrubbing and circulating complex adult cardiac cases. These cases include CABGs, structural heart cases, minimally invasive procedures, and heart failure cases. Experience in heart transplant, TAVI/TAVR is preferred, but not required. Candidates must hold an RN license from New York and possess the required certifications. Telemetry experience is also required for this position.
