Human Resources Specialist 1

Human Resources GeneralistAccurately maintain employee records and databases; Stay up to date on company policies and procedures and enforce with employees and managers; Maintain basic knowledge of all areas of HR operations; Assist employees and managers with basic issues via phone, email, or in-person as needed; Work closely with managers and other departments to resolve basic employee questions or issues; Issue spot potential employee-related problems and report to HR management as necessary; Assist managers in new hire process to ensure all work cards and other requirements are collected; Perform investigative phone calls into misconduct at the direction of HR management; Monitor long-term employee situations such as medical leave to ensure efficiency and follow up; Assist in recruiting on Indeed, Kronos, and other platforms; Attend job fairs and other HR-related functions as determined by HR Director; Monitor, assist, and follow up with employees regarding FMLA, ADA, or worker's comp situations; Perform other duties as assigned.Ability to communicate, report, and summarize verbally and in writing clearly and accurately; Ability to complete work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail without heavy oversight; Ability to think critically and adjust in situations that may be unfamiliar; Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team; Ability to organize and prioritize; Strong computer skills and proficiency with a range of software; At least 21 years of age; Ability to obtain necessary Gaming and other regulatory registrations or certifications; High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Prior work experience in a related field preferred; Ability to sit for long periods of time; Ability to bend, lift, and push up to 25lbs as needed.
