Your future role at a glance Location: Austin, TX Facility: Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin Department/Specialty: Recovery/PACU Schedule: Full Time | Day 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday with 24/7 accountability for deptment How you'll make an impact in this role Lead daily operations as Nurse Manager, coordinating nursing staff, workflows, and resources to ensure safe, efficient patient care and consistent delivery of high-quality direct patient care. Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff while fostering collaboration within the interdisciplinary team to strengthen patient outcomes, engagement, and clinical performance. Identify and resolve barriers impacting patient care delivery, implementing process improvements that enhance care coordination, safety practices, and overall quality improvement initiatives. Monitor departmental budgets and resource utilization as Nurse Manager, approving expenditures and aligning staffing and operations with financial goals and patient care priorities. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required. Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required. Work Experience: 3 years of experience required. 1 year of leadership or management experience required. What additional requirements you'll need Previous experience in Peri anesthesia departments both pre and post operative areas. At least 3 years managerial experience.
