Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Department: Pediatric Emergency Room

Job Status: Hourly

Shift: Night

Salary Range: $47.85 - $71.72 per hour

Our organization is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the Pediatric Emergency Room team at our New Brunswick campus.

Required:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or a Nursing Diploma
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• 4 to 5 years of experience as a Pediatric Emergency Department RN or in Pediatric Critical Care
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Strong computer proficiency

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or completion within 5 years of hire
• Experience as a Pediatric RN is highly desirable
• National certification and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey

• Night Shift

• The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care within the framework established by the Nurse Practice Act and adheres to ethical standards as outlined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensures safety in practice while applying evidence-based principles, recognizing personal knowledge and experience levels, and taking responsibility for enhancing the knowledge of self and the patient care team through effective communication and resource utilization.
• Responsible for reporting safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors.
• Maintains knowledge of the patient demographics served.
• Supervises and directs task delegation to appropriate team members while collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Sets and evaluates priorities consistently, implementing interventions with measurable outcomes aimed at improvement.
• Acts as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet specific patient needs.
