Our organization is in search of a committed Registered Nurse to join the Oncology Float Pool at our New Brunswick campus.

As the primary teaching hospital within our health system, this facility is one of only three Level 1 trauma centers in the state. Renowned for its exceptional clinical quality, we are dedicated to providing outstanding patient care. Our team is focused on ensuring safe, high-quality treatment for all individuals.

Nurses in our float pool are highly esteemed for their ability to deliver exceptional care across diverse patient populations, including those in trauma, neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, and oncology. These professionals exhibit expertise, adaptability, resilience, effective communication, and teamwork. We are expanding our float pool team to maintain our high standards of care.

Mandatory:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Proficient in computer applications

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or completion within five years of hire
• 2-3 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Oncology settings

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey

• Night shift, 36 hours per week, from 7 PM to 7:30 AM
• Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and holiday shifts
• Part-time availability

• The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care within the healthcare system, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards while upholding ethical practices as outlined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensures safety in practice, incorporating evidence-based principles and taking responsibility for enhancing personal and team knowledge through effective communication and resource utilization.
• Responsible for reporting safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors.
• Maintains knowledge of the patient demographics served.
• Supervises and directs task delegation among team members while collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Sets and evaluates priorities consistently, implementing appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes.
• Acts as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet specific patient needs.
