Our organization is in search of a committed Registered Nurse to join the Oncology Float Pool at our New Brunswick facility.

Nurses in our float pool play a crucial role, delivering exceptional care across various specialties, including trauma, neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, and oncology. These professionals exhibit expertise, adaptability, resilience, effective communication, and strong teamwork skills. We are expanding our float pool team to maintain our high standards of care.

Mandatory:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Proficient in computer applications

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or completion within five years of hire
• 2-3 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Oncology settings

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey

• Night shift, 36 hours per week, from 7 PM to 7:30 AM
• Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and holiday shifts
• Part-time availability

• The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care within the scope defined by the Nurse Practice Act and adheres to ethical standards as outlined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensures safety in practice, incorporating evidence-based principles and taking responsibility for personal and team knowledge advancement through effective communication and resource utilization.
• Reports safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors.
• Maintains knowledge of the patient demographics served.
• Supervises and directs task delegation among team members while collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Sets and evaluates priorities consistently, implementing interventions with measurable outcomes for improvement.
• Acts as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet specific patient needs.
