Data Engineer

Position Summary Caremark, LLC., a CVS Health company, is hiring in New York, NY for a Data Engineer. The role focuses on building large‑scale data structures, pipelines, and efficient ETL workflows to support business applications. Telecommuting is available, and multiple positions are open. Responsibilities Develop large‑scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data for insights and reporting. Write and optimize ETL (Extract‑Transform‑Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real‑time and offline analytics. Collaborate with the Data Science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes. Test, maintain, and troubleshoot data systems, ensuring reliability and performance. Use Google Cloud Platform tools to design and optimize queries and build data pipelines. Build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems with Python, Java, or similar languages. Create data marts and models to support Data Science and other internal customers. Integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring quality and accessibility standards. Analyze current IT environments, identify critical capabilities, and recommend solutions to complex business problems. Experiment with available tools and advise on new tools to provide optimal solutions. Requirements Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related field. Completion of a university‑level course, research project, internship, or thesis involving GIT; Java, Python, or Node.js; XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript; SAFe Software Development Principles; Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP); machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling; NLP tools (Scikit‑Learn, SpaCity, PyTorch, or Spark NLP); and data analysis techniques such as clustering, regression, and pattern recognition. Experience contributing to large‑scale applications, data science, or data analytics projects. Proficiency in feature engineering, model training, hyperparameter tuning, distributed model training, and supervised/unsupervised learning implementation. Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or a similar language, and familiarity with data pipeline orchestration. Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $118,102.00to$144,200.00per year (base salary, adjusted for experience, education, and geography). Eligible for a CVS Health bonus or short‑term incentive program, and for an equity award program.
