As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Full Time in Staunton, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a professional environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative values.

Pay Rate: $17.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a government transportation location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, roadways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
