In this role, you'll champion our technologies through workshops, content, and events, helping customers and prospects understand how VAST Data and our API-first platform can transform data and AI initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent VAST Data at industry conferences, meetups, and events as a speakerDesign and deliver compelling technical workshopsBuild relationships with developer communities, AI practitioners, and data engineersBe a part of and nurture our active Cosmos community of customers and partnersContent CreationDevelop high-quality technical content including tutorials, blog posts, videos, and documentationCreate comprehensive workshop materials for both in-person and virtual deliveryBuild applications, reference architectures, and proof-of-conceptsDesign and implement hands-on labs for data pipelines and AI workflowsTechnical ExpertiseDemonstrating best practices for data platform implementationsBuild and showcase integration with popular frameworksServe as a technical advisor to SEs and customersCollaborate with product teams to translate customer feedback into product improvements and product adoptionAI Agent and Workflow Development & ShowcasingDevelop proof-of-concept AI agents and data pipelines using VAST DataCreate educational content explaining how VAST Data enhances AI development workflowsCollaborate with partners to showcase pipelines used by their AI agentsStay current on emerging AI technologies and frameworks to identify integration opportunitiesRequirementsBackground in software development, developer relations, advocacy, or technical evangelismPublic speaking with proven experience presenting technical contentStrong technical writing skills with a portfolio of blog posts, documentation, technical contentExperience creating and delivering technical workshops or training programsAbility to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narrativesExperience with modern AI frameworks and data processing technologiesFamiliarity with distributed computing concepts and technologiesSoftware development experience in languages and tools used in data engineering (Python, SQL, vector databases, etc.)Nice-to-Have QualificationsUnderstanding of modern advanced storage and compute architectures, particularly open-source, and their impact on data pipeline performanceKnowledge of containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native technologiesUnderstanding of modern database technologiesExperience with VAST Data products or similar data platform technologiesExperience building and deploying data pipelines in production environmentsActive social media presence in relevant technical communitiesPrevious experience working with enterprise customers in the data infrastructure spacePersonal AttributesComfortable speaking in front of audiences with an engaging presentation styleSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating across teamsCreative problem-solver who can develop innovative demos and contentPassionate about technology education and knowledge sharingEmpathetic communicator who can understand and address customer pain pointsAdaptable to changing priorities and emerging technologiesTravel RequirementsThis position requires approximately 20% travel for conferences, customer visits, and workshopsWhat We OfferOpportunity to work with cutting-edge data infrastructure technologiesCollaborative environment focused on innovation and technical excellenceCompetitive compensation package including equityProfessional development opportunities and conference attendanceFlexible work arrangements as a "remote-first" company
