Billing SpecialistPart of the Company's financial commercial operations team for activity associated with vessels and US preference cargo operated in the Ro/Ro business unit, the Billing Specialist is responsible for the billing process for key US Government client requiring high levels to detail and compliance with contract stipulations for government activity as it relates to both the USC & Multi-model contracts.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the billing process for the US Government customer. This includes the preparation, invoicing, and analysis of billing files for each voyage.Work as the liaison between the cargo groups and SDDC to assist in resolving billing issuesInteraction with business unit and senior finance staff on program/contract related issues, including new business, to ensure all requirements are in place before billingInvoicing activities for other new business activitiesSupports company commitment to safety and other selected certificationsPerforms other position related duties as specified by managementPosition Specifications:Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in accounting required2-4 years' experience preferredTechnical Skills and Competencies RequiredDemonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and AccessStrong analytical skillsAbility to work independently, effectively prioritize responsibilities, and maintain focus on established objectivesStrong written and oral communication skillsCompany Benefits:MedicalDentalVision401k + Company MatchEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Time OffFlexible Work Schedules (when possible)And more!Pay Range:$55,000 - $60,000**The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.
