Reach Operator(Co-Pack )- 2nd Shift (W14)

Schedule/Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday / 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM ($20/hr) Job Purpose To operate forklifts (reach trucks) safely and efficiently; handle all freight inbound or outbound properly and in order; maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; loading and unloading of RJW trucks, trailers, and outside carriers safely and using proper procedures; ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded; responsible for properly storing stock in the warehouse; perform duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving handling activities; work from warehouse operation sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers; maintain forklift safety at all times following all safety policies and procedures. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Assists Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse. Ability to operate reach truck and/or walkie‑rider. General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment. Loads and unloads RJW truck/trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carriers equipment. Flexible to work 10 to 12 hour shifts when necessary and not afraid of heights. Picking and moving stock from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times. Ensures all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly. Maintains warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping. Processing outbound cross‑dock freight as necessary. Oversees storing stock properly in the warehouse and moving product into the storage racks. Works from warehouse operation sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers. Records and verifies the accuracy of shipments against paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments/deliveries. Ensures all documentation and paperwork is properly completed. Operates forklifts safely and efficiently following all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures. Wearing seat belts at all times when operating the forklift. Completes daily forklift maintenance inspections. Handles all customer products properly and in an orderly manner. Checks deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and free of damage. Alerts Warehouse Supervisor of any problems, taking pictures if necessary. Reports all accidents/incidents, employee damage of stock, or building damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately. Spotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment for the day. Maintains access to dock doors both inside and outside the facility, keeping them free of debris or snow. Other tasks as assigned by manager. Additional Responsibilities Possesses a sense of urgency, accountability, and ability to work with limited supervision. General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment. He/she must be able to read, write, and understand English. Attention to detail and quality is a must. Good communication, clear and concise, problem resolution, and people skills. Flexibility in working overtime when needed, and supplying coverage to other shifts. PC skills helpful. Major experience on reach truck or stand‑up forklift/EPJs. Experience in building pallets with stock and breaking down stock to fill independent orders. Experience in cross‑docking freight process.Ability to work in a fast paced warehouse. Qualifications 3–6 months of forklift driving experience in a warehouse using reach trucks and electric pallet jacks. Good stable work record. Education And/or Experience Required High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED). Warehousing certifications a plus.
