Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job

Registered Nurse - Med Surg / Telemetry (MS/Tele) on a cardiac unit in Rochester, NY. Travel temporary assignment starting 08/31/2026 for weeks, 4x12 Night shifts. Weekly pay range: $1,864-$1,940 per week. No guaranteed hours. Hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive bedside nursing care for adults and geriatrics on the MS/Tele cardiac unit, including routine assessments, monitoring, and patient education
- Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to arrhythmias per protocol; participate in rapid response or code events as needed
- Perform phlebotomy and IV placement; maintain peripheral lines and manage IV therapies
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies; monitor hemodynamics, oxygen delivery, and non-invasive airway support
- Document all care in Epic; maintain accurate flow sheets, update care plans, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning

Requirements
- NY license in hand (no pending licenses) to submit
- BLS certification; NIHSS certification listed as required
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in acute care (MS/Tele, cardiac care preferred)
- Phlebotomy and IV placement proficiency; peripheral line care
- Epic charting experience required; pre-start training modules required (up to 5 hours billable; total module time may reach 10 hours)
- Ability to float within scope to like units; willing to work 4x12 Night shifts; RTO restrictions apply (no more than 1 week per contract; cannot exceed 10 days total)
